EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT
Samantha Wootten
Bid Manager
Describe yourself in three words?
Optimistic, reliable, and determined.
Favourite holiday spot?
Spain. With my parents and some other family living there, it feels like a home away from home… with a lot more sunshine!
Favourite drink?
A café latte first thing in the morning always gets the day off to a good start.
When and Why did you join Trinity?
I joined Trinity in May 2022 as part of the renewals team. It was a company I’d already heard good things about and, after the interview, I just knew it was the right fit for me.
What is your role at Trinity and what does it involve?
I’m the Bid Manager, leading the team responsible for formal tender submissions, PQQs, client information updates, frameworks and multiple company accreditations. We’re the team that needs a deep understanding across all areas of the business, which probably explains why my brain immediately powers down the moment I log off.
What’s the best part of your job?
The people, without a doubt. I’ve been lucky enough to work with some incredible colleagues. A close second is the buzz of being awarded a new contract. I also thrive on being busy, so the constant pace and variety suit me perfectly.
What kind of challenges do you face in your role?
The fast pace that keeps things exciting can also be the biggest challenge. In the world of tenders, everything is urgent and everything has a deadline, but we haven’t missed one yet… touch wood.
Tell us an unusual fact about yourself?
The top of one of my ears is flat instead of round. I’m pretty sure it’s from my mum pulling me along when I was up to no good as a child, although this has always been denied.
